In the winter of 1934, the American Financial Collapse has not yet been addressed and its effects are most pronounced in a decrepit board-house in Duluth, Minnesota. Nick Laine fights to keep the property from being repossessed by the bank while his wife Elizabeth continues to battles with dementia but every now and again shows signs of mental alertness. He's been seeing one of the tenants, Mrs. Neilsen, but is she really what he desires? Nick and Elizabeth's children aren't without their own share of problems. Marianne is five months pregnant and is unmarried while Gene has a drinking problem and no goals in life.

Both visitors and odd locals of the town have their own mysterious histories and stories to tell. Their dark pasts, which include incarceration, blackmail, and morphine addiction, are eventually revealed to a backdrop of Bob Dylan's poetic music. The incredible amount of positive reviews this one has received should serve as assurance that even the most distinguished viewers will be entertained by the show's fantastic plot. Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness something spectacular at the George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City, Utah.
