Shen Yun Performing Arts at Eccles Theater

Stand awestruck as ancient China's heritage unfolds in a momentous celebration brimming with passion, color, and spirituality. Shen Yun — today's premier cultural dance organization — has announced this year’s timetable of programs across several of the United States' most distinguished stadiums, which includes the George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Theater on Thursday 20th March 2025!

Before the period of Communism, 5000 YEARS of culture, legends, and arts flourished in each corner of China's mainland, and year after year, the New York-founded Shen Yun revives these perennial treasures for all to admire! This year will be the same.

Heavenly beings walking across the land. Infinite fields of grass streaked by Mongolian horse-riding nomads. And battleground heroism of fearless warriors. Shen Yun’s seasonal exhibitions center around the many legends and epics that transcended the nation's regimes, creatively illustrating their fortunes and calamities with principles from Taoist and Buddhist beliefs to polish each story.

The approaching production will showcase twenty narrative sections of otherworldly performances in about 2 hours. Classically instructed dancers trimmed in delightfully vibrant garb will flutter through the floor, narrating the show’s tales through 17 or 18 complex ethnic dance sequences. Additionally, 2 to 3 vocal and instrumental solos will intersperse these chapters with invigorating melodies — traditional and original alike.

A full-piece orchestra will perform sweeping music throughout the event, innovatively combining Western and Chinese instruments. In terms of stagecraft, Shen Yun employs a state-of-the-art digital backdrop to display immersive scenarios, drawing viewers into the world of ancient Chinese civilizations in a spectacular fashion.

During the trip's stop in Utah's city of Salt Lake City, the premier George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Theater will serve as host. Its gorgeous stage, favored by many of the past decades’ biggest acts, will set the base for the outstanding exhibition, elevating it further with splendid vantage points, immaculate lighting, and pitch-perfect sound systems.
